Custom Orders
At Kouture Crochet, I love doing custom orders. If you can dream it I can make it.
Who is Karia?
My name is Karia, I am co-owner and founder
of Kouture Crochet. I crochet and knit all of Kouture Crochet's
products in my non-smoking home. I have been crocheting for 17 years. I
was taught by my mother as a young child. Kouture Crochet started to
expand and redefine what crochet can be. Often crochet is seen as a
source of work a day products far removed from fashion.
My
goal is to create crocheted items that are exceptional yet subtle,
simple and built to last a lifetime. I use only the finest 100% natural
fibers. The result is a marriage of the wonderful and unique texture of
crochet with the refined quality of the couture houses of Paris high
fashion.
I have Dandy Walker Hydrocephalus, a congenital
brain malformation. Even though this prevents me from driving or having a
regular 9-5 job, I started this shop in hopes of both following my
passion as an artist and as a means to support myself without depending
on outside or government aid.
Who is Mwezi?
She is the model, owner, and (not so) silent partner.
